She is an Iowa native. Her passion for science led her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Iowa State University. After graduating, she spent several years as a staffing specialist. In 2006, she joined KCCI’s Storm Team 8 and has been there ever since.
Slater is no stranger to the television screen, having spent six years as a meteorologist for WOI TV. As a WOI staffer, she helped launch the Central Iowa Chapter of the National Weather Association. This organization was designed to increase public knowledge of the weather.
Slater was the recipient of a CBM (Certified by the American Meteorological Society) seal, which is the American version of the certification that you find on a door knob. On a daily basis, she keeps central Iowa up to date on the latest news and forecasts.

Rheya Spigner has had a career in journalism. She is a reporter and anchor for KCCI, a CBS network-affiliated television station in Des Moines, Iowa.
Spigner graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. Her work has been recognized in the Biotech University Reporting Contest held by Arizona State University. In addition, she was nominated for two regional Emmy awards.
Throughout her career, she has worked on television shows in Albany, New York, and Augusta, Georgia. She also edited broadcast packages, interviewed celebrities, and conducted research. One of Spigner’s projects focused on a variety of issues affecting the Lowa people. It included topics such as immigration, veterans, and social worries.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Spigner enrolled at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Anne Campolongo is a well-known American meteorologist. She has worked for Fox 12 News and KCCI Storm team 8. Besides her work, Campolongo has a passion for encouraging young girls to pursue their dream in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Anne Campolongo is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. After completing high school in Ursuline Academy, she attended Ohio University for two years. During her college days, Campolongo interned at a PBS station in Athens, Ohio. Her passion for weather began in second grade. Having developed a passion for science, she later decided to pursue a career in meteorology.
Campolongo joined KCCI Storm team 8 in September 2021. During her time at KCCI, she has worked as an evening weather reporter and as a news anchor. Now, Campolongo is the anchor of the eight and nine o’clock news. In addition to her work, she also loves to travel and meet her relatives in Italy.
In her free time, Anne Campolongo enjoys hiking in the Pacific Northwest and writing letters. She is also a big fan of snail mail.
Did Alyx Sacks Have Her Baby?
Alyx Sacks is an American journalist and anchor who currently works at KCCI 8 news in Iowa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in sociology from Nevada University. Prior to joining the KCCI team in April of 2015, she worked for KRNV News 4, a television station in Reno, Nevada.
Alyx Sacks has been known to live a fairly nomadic life. Before moving to the Big Apple, she resided in seven states. She was named a Women’s Soccer Wolf Pack Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in 2008-2009. It’s no surprise she is a big fan of family time. But did she have a baby?
For starters, a baby is a lot of fun. Alyx Sacks and her husband Matthew have one child. Her son, Harrison, weighs nine pounds and is 20.5 inches long. He makes a lot of noises, but he is also a cuddle bug.
Another impressive feat is the fact that the lady in question has never reported any health concerns. The good news is she is in excellent shape.
