So Facebook Inc, the owners of WhatsApp released a dark mode version of the popular chat app for Android and IOS device and everyone’s going bonkers about it.
We’ve waited a while for this and its finally here. While a number of people have had access to the beta version of WhatsApp with the dark mode, for tests and whatnot, the feature is just rolling out globally.

Nice right? There’s a catch. Right now, the feature is available for users on Android 10 Q and IOS 13 users automatically when they turn on the dark mode feature on their devices, Android 9 and below would have to turn it on manually.
If you’re planning to get one of the new S20 devices, you should know, you’ll get this straight out of the box, iPhone 11 users as well have the IOS 13 and most of the other apple devices should have already had an update sent to them right now.
To activate WhatsApp new dark mode manually, simply make sure you’ve updated your app to the latest version and head over to the app settings >> Chats >> Themes and then select the dark mode feature to turn it on.
