How to Make Apple TV Autoplay Next Episode?

Streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have great autoplay systems. However, Apple TV has a somewhat quirky setup for automatic playing. While this can be helpful for some users, it can be frustrating for others.

If you are watching an entire season of a show, you’ll need to enable autoplay. This will play the next available episode when the current one ends.

If you don’t know where to turn autoplay on or off, you can do it from your device’s settings. Some devices allow you to do this from your personal account settings.

If you’re watching TV on your phone or tablet, you’ll see a “Next Episode” prompt in the bottom right corner of the screen. When you click on it, you’ll see a 10-second countdown. You can press the back button to skip this countdown.

If you’re on a computer or Xbox, you’ll find a similar prompt. You’ll see the same 10-second countdown and description for the next episode, and you can press the Back button to skip this countdown.

Why Does My Podcast Not Play the Next Episode?

Whether you’re on iOS or Android, you may have noticed that your podcast doesn’t play in sequential order. This can happen for a variety of reasons. However, there are a few ways to fix this issue.

One option is to turn off data for the podcast. This will prevent the app from using up your phone’s storage. You can also clear your podcast’s cache if it’s getting cluttered.

You can also change the order of your episodes. The Custom Settings option allows you to do this. If you select Oldest to Newest, you can also adjust the number of days you allow for a download to finish. You can then redownload any partial or incomplete episodes that you’ve previously downloaded.

Another fix is to turn off any extensions you may be using. These can include ad/content blocking apps and extensions. Using this method, your podcast should play in the correct order.

If you’re having trouble playing an episode, try playing it from the Show List. If this doesn’t work, you can remove an episode from your list and redownload it.

How Do I Get Podcast Episodes to Play in Order?

Getting podcast episodes to play in order on Apple TV is a simple matter of following some steps. The first step is to open the app. This can be done from the Settings app on the iOS device. The podcasts app is located under the Podcasts tab.

The app uses store IDs to sort shows. For instance, if you want to listen to the Sherlock Holmes podcast, you would want to copy the store ID for that podcast. The store ID is the nine or ten number after the “id” in the URL. You will need this information for the next step.

The show information page is found in the sidebar. This is where you will find the details on the episode, such as the number of episodes in a season and the number of times it was downloaded.

The Playing Next queue is also found in the sidebar. It appears until it is closed. It is similar to the playlists in iTunes. This queue is where you will find the latest episode, as well as the latest unplayed ones.
