Are the Androids Evil?

The term “android” usually connotes a machine without a soul or spirit. While some androids do exhibit this trait, others are more human-like. For example, androids 17 and 18 started out as normal human children and were transformed by Dr. Gero into enhanced biological androids. Goku’s slaying of hundreds of RRA members sparked Dr. Gero’s hatred and he planned to exact his revenge by terrorizing the world.

While androids have endless stamina and energy, they are prone to being outmatched by non-android opponents. For instance, Future Trunks destroyed the androids of Future 17 and 18 without exerting much effort. Similarly, Cell dominated the androids of Present 17 and 18 before being knocked out by Beerus. While androids have many advantages over their organic counterparts, they are still vulnerable to attacks.

In the History of Trunks, the androids had already begun killing humans and cities. During the climax of the series, Dr. Gero had created technology to make powerful warriors. While this might be plausible, it seems overly dramatic. But Dr. Gero’s androids were so powerful that they could even stand up to the Z Fighters. But it’s hard to believe that androids could defeat such a powerful foe.

Why Do the Androids Turn Good?

The first episode of the Super series features the first appearance of the androids, which are actually Super 17 and 18. They were created by Dr. Gero to kill Goku. But when they were activated prematurely, they turned on Dr. Gero and became good. They also have the names of the Z Fighters, Frieza, Cell, and even a good Majin Buu. The androids also possess the ability to absorb other beings using Majin Buu’s Transfiguration Beam.

In the previous episode, the androids had a similar background story. Their creator, Dr. Gero, had created them, but they were designed differently. Androids have different characteristics and personalities. They are often more powerful than their human counterparts. A good android will be able to take on more powerful enemies than a bad one. It is also better equipped to protect itself from attacks. However, some of them may not be able to defeat Superman.

Is Android 17 a Good Guy?

After fighting against Jiren and Frieza, the Androids were able to survive the Power Impact and free Goku from the rubble of the stage. Android 17 also managed to survive the blast, which was not the result of his self-destructing ability. However, this does not stop Jiren from doing a number of things, such as pushing Goku and Vegeta aside. Jiren was also able to use his ki blasts against them, pushing them back.
